Agnes Russo is an abstract artist based in Houston TX.
Agnes Russo was born in Poland and grew up with six siblings. When her mother passed away at age 9, Agnes took on the role of caring for her younger siblings, which made her strong and determined. Despite her family's love for art, she didn't have much time for painting while living on a busy farm. She studied clothes design and clothing tailoring but later graduated in social psychology, wanting to help people.
Money was tight, and Agnes remembers struggling to afford food. But growing up on the farm taught her to love nature and see beauty in simple things. After university, she got a scholarship to study in Italy, where she met her husband. They lived in Norway for 10 years before moving to the USA, where Agnes rediscovered her love for painting.
Her art is calming and peaceful, often featuring minimalist abstracts and wildflowers. Painting helps her connect with her late mother and brings comfort to her soul. Now, she works from her home studio in Houston, TX.
